In Memoriam

Felicia Hill-Briggs, PhD, ABPP

A clinical psychologist and behavioral scientist, Dr. Hill-Briggs was Vice President of Prevention at Northwell Health and Simons Distinguished Chair in Clinical Research, Associate Director, and Professor at the Institute of Health Systems Science at Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. A nationally recognized expert in behavior change for improved individual and population health, her research has earned scientific awards as well as honors for improving community health and wellness. Dr. Hill-Briggs served as 2018 American Diabetes Association President, Health Care and Education. She was an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) of the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine. Dr. Hill-Briggs lived well with type 1 diabetes for over 48 years.
