How does the training work?
Trainings are available to organizations that hold DECIDE licenses
Trainings are delivered by a DECIDE Trainer
Trainees attend the 14-hour training over 2 full days or 4 half days

Virtual trainings meet on Zoom or Teams using computers and webcams
In-person trainings meet either at the client’s organization or at Northwell Health in New York
What will trainees learn?
The DECIDE Facilitator Training has 4 parts:
Introduction to the DECIDE Program: An overview of the DECIDE program, the problem-solving approach, and the evidence supporting the program.
Facilitation Strategies: Instruction on facilitation strategies to help DECIDE Facilitators deliver the program effectively.
Training in the DECIDE Curriculum: A review of the content of each of the 9 modules of DECIDE.
Practice Sessions: Trainees practice delivering portions of the DECIDE program. The DECIDE Trainer observes the mock delivery and provides feedback to help trainees refine their skills.
What are the requirements to become a certified DECIDE Facilitator?
All DECIDE facilitators must complete the certification process before delivering DECIDE. Certification will be approved and reviewed annually by the DECIDE team.
To become a certified DECIDE Facilitator, a person must:
Complete the 14-hour DECIDE Facilitator Training led by a DECIDE Trainer
Satisfactorily complete a mock delivery of a module or part of a module during the practice sessions
To maintain certification, each DECIDE Facilitator must:
Deliver DECIDE to at least one cohort per year
Complete required data elements (e.g., attendance for cohort participants) for each cohort delivered
Maintain high fidelity to the intervention, assessed at least once for each cohort delivered
